The Tomcat is a powerful series designed for catfish. The Spin models (60–160 g) and X-Strong models (200–300 g) feature a 24T carbon blank, SiC guides, and a graphite reel seat. Which model to choose depends on the weight of the lure and the desired rod length.
Tomcat asks that we distinguish between the Spin series and the X-Strong series. The 7’0’’ and 8’0’’ Spin models cover 60–160 g. The X-Strong models presented here handle 200–300g, with lengths of 9’0’’ and 9’9’’: they are designed for significantly heavier tackle.
The 24T carbon blank features SiC guides with a matte Gunsmoke finish. The reel seat is made of graphite, and the butt section ends with a round rubber butt cap.
These rods break down into two sections and come with a carrying case. Model weights range from 300g for the Spin 7’0’’ to 528g for the X-Strong 9’9’’.
