The Safyre combines oversized HDG+ gears with two mechanical retention systems, Flite Drive and GSS. The Hydro Block II system protects the frame and brake from water ingress. Several high-speed versions complement the standard gear ratios.
The Safyre keeps its sprocket on bearings thanks to the GSS system, combined with the Flite Drive. This design features an oversized HDG+ drive sprocket and a Carbonite multi-disc brake.
When it comes to gear ratios, the 2500 and 3000 models are available in 5.3:1 or the HA version at 6.0:1, both weighing 235g. For the 4000 and C5000 models, the A versions have a 5.2:1 gear ratio; the XA2 versions have a 6.2:1 gear ratio and are slightly heavier.
The Hydro Block II protects the frame and brake from water ingress. The roller features a DLC coating to reduce friction as the line passes through. The aluminum handle screws into the mechanism, along with an anodized aluminum spool and 7+1 stainless steel bearings.
