The Salina Tuna is a spinning rod designed for tuna. Its two-piece construction—consisting of a butt section and a tip—allows the rod to flex during the fight. It features a Fuji reel seat, SeaGuide guides with zirconium inserts, and a rubber swivel to stabilize the rod in the shoulder strap.
The Salina Tuna is built to withstand the fight with tuna while maintaining a bend that helps the angler manage the strain. The high-modulus carbon blank is split at the butt section in a 1+1 construction.
The three models presented do not cover the same lure weight range: the 7’6’’ 762S is rated for 20–70g, the 822M for 40–100g, and the 822L for 50–120g. The latter two measure 8’2’’. You should therefore rely on the specific model’s range rather than just the power letter.
The SeaGuide New Concept guides feature zirconium inserts and SS316 stainless steel frames. The rubber swivel prevents the butt section from rotating in the rod holder.
