The inner part is made of a hard plastic with little salt while the outer part is very salty and made of a very soft plastic. The Salty Core Tube is unlike any other tube in that it has a solid body, and the density of the weightless tube makes it sink at the perfect speed.

It is also one of the only lures on the market capable of going backwards over a short distance as long as you leave some slack in the streamer. When rigged upside down (tentacles on the eyelet side) the Salty Core Tube triggers the frenzy of perch and the aggressiveness of pike.
