A round tungsten bead concentrates the weight at the head without making the entire body thicker with weighting thread. It is suitable for nymphs on standard hooks, after checking the fit. Two hooks of the same size may have different bends: test the bead on the actual hook you’ll be using. Thread it onto the hook before tying on the line, then secure it with a backing loop. Gold, silver, or black finishes are available depending on the diameter, in packs of 10.
