The Whiting Farms Commercial Saddle belongs to the Pro Grade range from Whiting Farms, developed to offer excellent tying performance. Each saddle provides a large volume of long, workable feathers, enabling several hundred dry flies to be tied. The hackle sizes are mainly between 14 and 18, covering common trout fishing uses. On the vise, the feathers have a constant length and density adapted to repeated mounting, facilitating series work. This range is chosen when the objective is to efficiently produce functional flies, without looking for the higher grades intended for presentation fixtures.
