The Mitralieu XL features larger hooks for pollock fishing. It has three No. 5/0 hooks on 0.80 mm line. This sets it apart from the classic Mitralieu, which uses No. 3/0 hooks and 0.60 mm line.
The XL version retains three hooks but upgrades to size #5/0. The line diameter also increases to 0.80 mm.
This configuration allows you to choose a Mitralieu with a larger hook set and a thicker line. It is still intended for pollock fishing.
