The Swat Shad features a belly channel to help rig the hook easily, and dorsal channel to conceal the point of the hook, but does not hinder hook-ups. The Texan rig will allow you to fish this lure in thickly vegetated waters.

There are two small holes in the channels for a Texan hook to be easily rigged, or for a smaller stinger hook. The smaller the hook the more flexible this lure becomes! This setup provides a convincing imitation of a tired fish swimming at the bottom, easy pickings!
