The Deps New Slide Swimmer 175 is a 175mm, 79g jointed glide bait for pike and bass. A steady turn of the reel sends it swimming in an S pattern. This slow sinking model settles on the pause, so it can linger below the surface without floating back up.
Let the lure sink after the cast to reach the depth you want to fish, then reel steadily for a series of side-to-side glides. A short twitch of the rod tip makes the bait dart off line where you want a change of pace. Pause to let the glide play out and the lure settle before winding again.
A soft outer skin covers the hollow ABS body. At the joint, the skin cushions contact between the two sections and nudges the rear section back after a twitch. Choose a rod with a casting range that covers the lure’s 79g weight.
Drain any water from the hole near the tail after use. Let the bait dry, then store it with the tail straight.
