The Xorus Patchinko 85 is the most compact version of the Patchinko family, measuring 85 mm and weighing 7 g. It keeps the range’s long-casting, walking-the-dog concept but reduces the visual profile and surface displacement for situations where predators are focused on small baitfish or become wary of larger surface lures. Its balance is biased toward the rear, helping the lure maintain a stable flight and achieve strong casting distance for its small size. At rest, the Patchinko 85 sits at an angle with the rear section lower in the water, which gives the lure a stable starting position for short, controlled rod-tip inputs. On the retrieve, the lure responds easily to walking-the-dog animation. A fast cadence can be used to cover shallow water and locate active fish, while slower, tighter turns keep the lure inside a productive area for longer. The 85 mm size is particularly useful in calm water, clear conditions, estuaries, harbour areas and freshwater situations where predators are feeding on fry or other small forage. Unlike a silent finesse pencil, the Patchinko 85 is a rattling topwater.
