The Tinsel Chenille is used to build the body by winding it around the hook shank. Its flat, metallized fibers form the material’s shiny base, complemented by a smaller amount of iridescent fibers to create varying reflections.
It is used primarily on streamers and other flies that require a full body. The 4-mm diameter offers a more compact volume than the 6-mm version; the number of wraps then determines the length covered. Color combinations allow you to adjust both the overall hue and the body’s brilliance.
