The Salina is chosen primarily based on the desired line capacity. The 4000HA, 5000HA, and 6000HA models have a gear ratio of 5.8:1 and retrieve 90 cm, 95 cm, and 101 cm per turn, respectively. The 8000A, 10000A, and 14000A models offer greater line capacity.

The Dual Force brake applies a maximum force of 15 kg on the 4000 to 6000 models, and 20 kg on the three larger sizes. The three-point pinion stabilization limits its movement when the mechanism is under load.

The pick-up closes manually. The aluminum crank screws into the frame and features a round handle, also made of aluminum. The roller is coated with DLC and features 6+1 corrosion-resistant bearings.
