The Illex Maekon 150 SF is a two-part articulated swimbait designed for fishing for pike and black-bass specimens. At 150 mm long and weighing 28.5 g, this floating lure features the Mono Flex Joint System, a unique jointing system which improves freedom of movement and creates a delayed rolling action for maximum attraction during attack phases. This swimbait offers great versatility with several different styles of action: stop & go close to structures or linear retrieve for prospecting seagrass beds or skirting banks. On a linear retrieve, the Maekon 150 SF produces a powerful wobbling action similar to that of a large crankbait. Its fish-like tail accentuates its realism, especially during breaks. Compatible with Medium Heavy spinning or baitcasting rods, it displaces a large volume of water, making this lure irresistible to European predators. For even more versatility, you can add a John Weight to make it suspend, slow-sink or fast-sink, depending on your needs. This lure moves at a depth of 0 to 0.3 m, perfect for surface fishing or just under the film of water.
